From the waters of the Missouri River to the Badlands and Black Hills, from the elk herds of the west to the pheasants of the east, South Dakota is home to a unique array of lands, waters and wildlife. The state's natural resources and its history help forge its people and create a legacy to be passed on to future generations. The South Dakota Parks and Wildlife Foundation exists to help preserve this heritage.
Over the years, the Foundation has assisted South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks with a number of large and small projects.
