Gifts to the Great Places Don’t Just Happen campaign allow us to respond to needs across the state, where and when they’re needed most. Because project funding is prioritized based on the total amount raised, these unrestricted gifts ensure the greatest impact. Funds are disbursed only after project completion and at the request of South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP), making sure every dollar is used efficiently and as intended.

You may choose to support a specific region—like the Black Hills, the Central region along the Missouri River, Southeastern South Dakota, or the Northeast. These gifts are reserved for that region and applied to projects meant to enhance our state park system. This approach helps sustain a broad network of parks and natural areas while still focusing your gift on a place you love.
